Title: N/A 'Wordless Spock/Nyota Ficlet'
Rating: As it is: G As it was intended to be: PG-13
Characters/Pairing/Threesome/Etc: Spock/Uhura
Content Advisory: Telepathy, togetherness
Summary: It is no particular day.
Prompt/Plotbunny: A WNW prompt, a commentficathon at [livejournal.com profile] circ_bamboo's, a chunk of "Wild Geese"...
Notes: I think I wrote a fair bit of this into "The Thing You Think You Cannot".

...just a very, very long day. )

From [livejournal.com profile] azephirin:

Comment with a fandom and two characters, and any prompt you'd like to give. I'll tell you about a time when they kissed. (No LOTR unless it involves at least one hobbit OC and/or interspecies; otherwise, any pairing and fandom I've ever written is fair game.)

(I borrowed the caveat and switched in an appropriate fandom.)

Title: Performance Evaluations
Fandom: Star Trek Reboot Mirrorverse
Rating: As is: Hard R. As intended: NC-17
Pairings: Kirk/everyone on his senior staff except maybe Scotty Kirk/Spock/Uhura, Chekov/Kirk/Sulu, Kirk/McCoy, Pike/Kirk
Content Advisory: BDSM, threesomes, dubious/disregarded consent.
Prompt: 5 times kirk did senior staff performance reviews and one time he received his (from pike)
Notes: I have no idea why I couldn't finish this, especially since it's right up my multishippy alley and I'd figured out how to do it as a series of images. Maybe I'll revisit it after the next movie.
Very brief, but hopefully palpable )
browngirl: (Star In Hand (papervolcano))
Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day is a video arranging photographs by the Cassini spacecraft into views of what flying towards/by Saturn would look like. It's stunning and inspiring.

Meanwhile, I do so love memes, not least at moments right now when I'm afflicted with Writer's Slowdown or something. I got this from the incomparable [livejournal.com profile] igrockspock: Ask me about a pairing (or character) I have written (or haven't and you think I should write) and I will give you five facts about them or a ficlet or a song that is CLEARLY THEIR SONG or what they order from the Chinese place down the street, etc, etc.
ETA [livejournal.com profile] sharpestscalpel wrote an absolutely gorgeous ficlet about Gaila taking McCoy flying, and Gaila and her life.

Title: Sea Of Waking Dreams
Fandom: Star Trek XI
Rating: NC-17
Pairings: Kirk/McCoy, lots of Kirk/OCs, bit of McCoy/OCs
Summary: Jim accepts an invitation to participate in an alien ritual. Leonard tries to save him from himself.
Content Advisory: Gangbang, orgy, het, slash, discussions of consent. Not a dub-con or noncon story.
All Thanks To: [livejournal.com profile] starsandgraces for beta reading with speed and precision; [livejournal.com profile] affectingly for giving me the prompt I wanted most; [livejournal.com profile] canis_takahari for being utterly awesome to me as a mod and as a friend.
Acknowledgements: Written for [livejournal.com profile] km_anthology for the prompt "Gangbang (Kirk recieving)". Inspired by Rapture and by the now-taken-down story "Golden One". Kinda-sorta a sequel to May Have Been You, but reading that isn't at all required to read this.

Give me a pairing in a fandom I'm in and I'll tell you:
1. When or if I started shipping them:
2. What I think their challenge is:
3. What makes me happy about them:
4. What makes me sad about them:
5. What moment I wish had never happened:
6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
7. My happily ever after for them:

Having just read a soi-disant 'analysis' (actually a condemnation) of Spock/Uhura in general and AOS Uhura in specific, I realized what's really the only sensible response I can make to such ridiculousness an effort to shift this Reboot fandom's culture.

So. Please give me Spock/Uhura plotbunnies, and I'll see if one sticks. It's high time I wrote a story for one of my favorite pairings. ETA There are some amazing ideas in here, and I'll never be able to write them all. If you see one that strikes your fancy, take it! The more S/U fic the better!

Apparently I can write anything as long as it's not what I intended to be writing. There's a calvacade of tentacle-fic upcoming, and as for this it was written in a friendslocked post. I finally wrote Kirk/Spock Prime, and I think this is about everything I have to say on this pairing.

This is Jim's NSFW tattoo. I suppose I should tell the artists I spontaneously wrote a story about their artwork. Anyway.

'You stroking out back there, old man?'  )
browngirl: (Bridge Officer (captaincadet))
So, at the other end of this week, I asked to be told about stories I never wrote, and wrote bits of them. Then I cringed at all the typoes, bad word choices, and so on, so here are the completed fragments (as it were), polished up a bit. To start with, the NUMB3RS one for Tigerbright: Spoilers for season finale. )

Lord of the Rings hobbitfic: Dreamflower requested Rosie, Marigold and a Ruffian. )

And now Star Trek Reboot! For the perspicacious Mardia, Mirrorverse, nonexplicit. )

Azephirin read my mind and asked for Kirk/Spock/Uhura. )

Libitina requested Uhura and the Spockim. )

Spikeface was so inspiring she got two, both about Leah McCoy of the ISS Enterprise. )

This one is violent and bloody. )

Kittyjimjams wanted Mirrorverse family bonding, and Graceandfire wanted Mirror!Kirk to make Leah smile. )

Graceandfire is full of glorious Mirrorverse suggestions, actually, such as Mirror!Kirk being... caring. )

Rodneyscat made sure I didn't neglect Chekov and Sulu! )

Ninhursag wanted Jim and Gaila. So do I. )

Secretsolitaire had a solid idea about Jim and Bones )

Starsandgraces wanted captain and pilot debating mythic figures. Whilst drunk. )

Ever since I wrote 'Light, Inaccessible', Lomedet has wanted this timestamp. )

Jamjar requested genderswap, whee! )

For Leftarrow: Cadet Pike, George Kirk, Academy shenanigans, abuse of Shakespeare, and Winful Winona! )

And then there's the one where Kirk/McCoy and Kirk/Spock/Uhura get along quite well in the end. )

Last but not least: for Joyshine's incredible request '...the one where Character A realizes that one of the most wonderful things about Character B and Possibly Character C is that they can take whatever s/he can dish out', an assortment of brief excerpts. White Collar, Star Trek, DC Batverse. )

Title: The Thing You Think You Cannot
Fandom: Star Trek XI

Content Advisory: Nonexplicit references to violence and sexual assault.
Acknowledgements: [livejournal.com profile] where_no_woman; this was originally meant for a drabblefest there.
Disclaimer: None of these characters or their settings belong to me.
Author's Note: This is a follow-up to "No Set Gauge", but I tried to write this so it's not necessary to have read that.

Spock bends over her, and it feels wrong. )
browngirl: (Enterprise)
I wrote this for a nice person over at [livejournal.com profile] wrisomifu, fwiw. I don't think I'll bother with headers. Read more... )

I didn't manage to write a ficlet to every prompt, though I wrote something at least. ETA Also, [livejournal.com profile] jlm121 wrote Gaila/McCoy/Spock after I quailed at the threesome! Wow! Meanwhile, here are the prompts I wrote ficlets for.
