I have had a terrible past 24 hours, with suckiness predicted for the foreseeable future. Please tell me something, fannish or otherwise, that makes you happy.

I'll go first: the moment in my icon, whether in bookverse or movieverse. I have always loved that defiance against the dark and overwhelming odds.

I suppose I have cause for celebration in that I finally pwnded the cricket that's been sharing my apartment.

No, really, I am considering the genius of whoever brought the world white plastic erasers and chocolate caramel bars and laptop computers and stripey stockings. Consider my delight at finding a shop that sells painting canvas wide enough to cover the stretcher frames my dad built me. Consider if you will the mere existence of fandom, in which I get to meet fascinating people and read amusing fic.

:D

Abbott and Costello (http://www.baseball-almanac.com/humor4.shtml) talking about who is on first. Knowing that I have in my bookmarks and can always go read it makes me squee with joy for having a reliable source of amusement.

Also, *points up*, this icon. Because they're adorable.

This is as wonderful as it is true.

These are all really nifty! (Where in India are your grandparents from?) And your story *deserved* all that praise. It was distinctly awesome-enabled. :)

Books! The awesomeness of piles and piles of books waiting to be read by you, even if they don't know it yet.

I knew I liked you for some very good reasons. :D Every item on your list just made me smile more and more happily.

Oh, yes. I love the Internet, the way it stitches so much of the world together, like a lacy web of tesseracts (L'Engle-verse tesseracts).

And I love fall, not least because I live in New England. Thank you for reminding me. :D

Quantum brains make me happy. The possibility of holding many, many conflicting realities as simultaneously true pleases me.

Oh, yes, and I am eagerly adopting that term for the concept.

And hugging you back, tightly. :)
