A post I wrote Thursday-- Four Nifty Things

I found this in my email this morning. I had decided to write about four niftinesses that were bestowed upon me recently. I thought about editing it to reflect events since, but decided not to.

So. kathrynt sent me a box full of rainbows and fruit. It's full of dyed unspun wool (spinrabbit, are you interested?), and luscious-looking jars of quince jam and a sack of dried quinces, some of which I will attempt to candy this weekend. The package was delayed in red tape, but now I have it and it is spiffy.

maelithil is a delightful young woman who's spending a year in town in Ivy halls. She's into motorcycles, and has utterly charmed WD for that and other reasons. We've been having semiregular meetings for coffee and comicbook squee. Shared squee is such a delight.

This morning Tigerlily offered to drive me to work when my taxi was late, and it just reminded me how nice it is to live in a household. Plus, I'm watching the Joshlet grow, and that's just.... wonderful, really.

And my writing is back! I wasn't able to write for two weeks, and it felt horrible. There are times when I feel sunk into mundanity like a tar pit, unable to imagine. But this week I've had it back. *whew*

I should make myself write about the nifty things more.

I think you should! I know I like reading about the niftiness in your life, and I should probably start writing more about the niftiness in mine!

Yeah, you should. The nifty things in your life need sharing, too, especially since you haven;t been hanging out on #filkhaven to share them yourself. Some of us miss you, bubbeleh.
