They All Sell the Same Thing!

Google can't find me anyone on the Web who'll sell me dried jujubes or quinces! Ten thousand shops sell dried apples and pears and the same two kinds of figs, and maybe ten sell quince paste which is not what I'm looking for, but dried quinces? NO ONE. Argh. Why does everyone only ever sell the same things?

I suppose that's better than the results I got when searching for dried rowanberries, though. I discovered that dried rowanberries are, literally, bird food.

. . . you know, I have an assload of FRESH quinces. And possible access to a food dehydrator. Or, you know, maybe am looking for an excuse to buy my OWN food dehydrator. Maybe I can help you out.

But if you do that and send me, say, a box of both fresh and dried quinces, I'd be forced to send some of them back to you. Baked into a cake.

can you get either jujubes or quinces fresh and dehydrate them? (or is that a totally stupid question). I can only find dried quince for wreathes and potpouri

For jujubes, Chinatown is the place to look. There's a market on Beach St. that often has them. I am not sure about quinces, but it looks like you may already have some help, there :)
