Too Much Sushi, and Other Adventures

I haven't done a good proper update here in awhile. I'm taking a break from Kill Bill: Vol 2 (and why did no one tell me how much this pair of movies rocks? I wish I'd seen them in the theaters!); here's hoping I remember everything.
This past week Red Ted and I went out for sushi, and discovered that one can, actually, order too much sushi. I ended up with enough extra for two lunches, but because sushi doesn't really keep, I only got to eat one. I felt really bad, not least because lots of it was tuna, Tigerlily's favorite, and she couldn't eat it because she's pregnant.
Still, it was an amusing discovery.
Over at my writing journal, I appear to have two fandoms now (I don't want to leave the hobbits, at any rate, even if I currently have NRE with the comics). But then Batman and Robin are one of those iconic couples, just like Frodo and Sam. (Being me, I don't really write either pairing.) I also appear to be slowing down my pace of writing, which shouldn't worry me as much as it does. The point was never to give me something else to stress over. I get too wrapped up in things, and have to pry free to have my mental peace. It's part of why I gafiated from filking and cons, though it took me a year to figure it out. Hopefully I can find a good balance with the fanfic fandom, rather than have to leave it as well.
Speaking of writing, rather than recreate my webpage, I think I may put my stories up in here (the ones good enough to keep, anyway), and I definetely must go through this journal and tag or memorialize all the fiction and poetry in it.
Anyway. Back to wasting my long weekend, and back to the mythic vengeful journey of the Bride.

Date: 2005-07-03 08:42 pm (UTC)This reminds me of my sushi class. This is a two-session class which was crammed into one 8-hour session. We made so much sushi we couldn't finish it all, much as we might want to try :) This was at BCAE, so we ended up leaving plates of sushi for students in other classes to nibble on...
