Fortuna

So, I was lying in bed (I came home sick) and I started to think about how fortunate I am.

I mean, I live in a place and a time where, and work for employers such that, I can go home sick without losing my job, being docked, having to come in on the weekend to make it up, getting a demerit at work, or even being yelled at.

I work with my best friend, who kept checking in with me to make sure I was OK, and cheerfully sent me home when I realized I couldn't work any longer.

I have a job that I actually didn't want to leave; even though today's task was boring, I do love my current job.

Oh, and I live with Wolf, who came home while I was writing this. I'd called him and asked him to get me something sweet, so he brought me a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts (which I suspect he'll be helping me eat *wink*)

I'm a lucky girl. *beam*

And, having written this, I'm going to take a doughnut and go back to bed.
