My Belated Weekend

As long as I'm updating my journal, I should, oh, actually write about my weekend.
Saturday: I slept for 12 hours. Then I got up, beat my hair into submission, and hung out a bit with Tigerlily, a bit with Wolf and
zebraartist, admired the magnificent new set of cookware Wolf brought home, and communed with my books for a bit. Oh, and I was obstreperously helpful. *wink at Wolf and Z*
Sunday: Tigerlily and I went to see
ailsaek and her clan; her daughter K is this great tall strapping creature! I remember when I used to carry her around! And her son D is adorable, and much less afraid of me than last visit, and certainly a *toddler*, trying to get into everything. We hung out, ate waffles cooked by her gracious husband, went shopping at garden centers, ate ice cream, admired the gorgeous garden, and generally enjoyed a rainy Sunday.
The problem with letting myself wait this long to write up my weekend is that all the details melt away. I have to struggle now to remember the brighteness of D's smile and the crackle of the fire and the varying textures of the rain and smells of the earth. Of course, I ended up living too much to have time to write, which I still would rather than time to write and nothing to do. :)
