princesswitch said, Dr. Maathai is truly a role model, and a hero for our times.
I have to admit I love what her ex-husband gave as his reason for divorcing her: 'Wangari Maathai's husband divorced her in the 1980s, complaining that she was "too educated, too strong, too successful, too stubborn and too hard to control." ' That's by no means the most important thing from this article about her, though. The most important is how trailbreaking, brave and impressive she is, what a force for good she is.
Thank you, Princesswitch, it did me good today to hear of Dr. Maathai.
