Scheduling

So, I've scheduled my move against the New England Folk Festival. I bear absolutely no ill-will towards any individual person who told me they can't help me because they'll be attending it, but being told about it approximately fifteen times in email made me less than cheerful. (Besides, part of me wants to know just how many of the people who told me can't help me will be getting to NEFFA before 1 PM anyway; my move should very well be over by then. Most of me, however, does *not* want to know.)

There is no weekend that has nothing going on, after all.

(Incidentally, local folk, can you come help me on 4/26? *big pleading smile*)

It's a bit far from here... but I'm sending you many *BhiggHugs* to keep the energy going until you're done, and a few extra, warm yellow, wrap-around-the-shoulders-hugs to keep your sense of humour going through all the work and stress.

Thank you, sweet pea. :)

Actually and seriously, yes. I should be done with my own (fucking endless) move by then...

Just promise you'll have all your actual /packing/ already done? *hopeful smile*

Cross my heart and hope to die, I will!

Drop me a line so I don't forget to send you directions?

And, last but certainly not least, THANK YOU!!!

*big hug*

Will do, on the line, once I'm at a computer that can actually send email.

And, you're welcome.

I can't -- I'm getting MARRIED that day. (Er, and I'm like three thousand miles away.)

I *knew* something important was happening that weekend! *grin*

Have a grand wonderful wedding and worry not a whit about me. I'll be fine, and besides, my idea of "local" is a bit more narrowly defined than the continent. :)

I hope you find enough help. Sorry that the commute from Pittsburgh would be impractical. :-)

So, I've scheduled my move against the New England Folk Festival.

My first thought here was "what have the New England Folk Festival done, that Ayesha should be moving against them ?" I really am working too hard.

Good luck with it all working out with minimal hassle, anyway. *hugs*

You'll just have to make sure that Pete and Morgan come to help, then. ;)

All of these people complaining about distance are l4M3r5. I came up from Delaware once to help you move.

Do I get to complain about distance without being a lamer? I'm 9460 miles (15225 km) away.

(Distance calculated here .)

Yeah, I think you get a pass on this one. :-)

Y'know, if April weren't such a travel-heavy month for me (two trips in two weeks, more or less, one ending two days before your move), and if I could find crash space, I'd seriously consider driving up to help.

(Okay, so this is mostly selfish: anything that gets me away from local stress seems like a good idea, and it would feel good to be helpful.)

The only reason I won't be there to help you move is that I'm working the night before and that night... Putting a move in the middle, instead of sleep, would be a "Bad Idea"....

Sorry, but I'm not generally *up* before noon or so (d***ed night shift!), and I'm a couple of hours away, I'm not supposed to be lifting anything heavier than a gallon of milk, but if it weren't for that, I'd be glad to help.

::wanders off, feeling guilty::
