In long, I guess.
I had oddly vivid, lucid dreams this morning (and no leg cramps, after Gatorade and stretches---thank you, everyone who sent me advice!). I was at a con, in a hotel...I wound them up by looking for my suitcase, and I realized I was looking for a suitcase I didn't own anymore in a room that had changed around, and that's when I realized I was dreaming, and woke up.
So, I kissed a sleeping WD and got up. I had owed people drawings, not least those who sent me poems on Wednesday, and wanted to send art to some other folks, so I drew a few things, as well as putting together correspondence to send to people who can use encouragement, condolences, or cheer. I wish I could add money, for those who can use that too, but I do what I can.
WD got up, and we hung out, and he made me feel beautiful. *beam* Then I headed out to Tigerlily and Wolf's, to catch some Ancient Egyptian TV. :) Since we'd decided on matzoh ball soup I tried my hand at making them, and ended up making credible ones despite Wolf telling me everything I should have done after I should have done it. *laugh*
I love the Discovery Channel. Tigerlily and I ended up watching a special on the murder of Tutankhamun that was fascinating, if creepy; I never wanted to know what a mummified fetus looked like, thank you kindly, and a few years ago would have been given nightmares by the sight. More seriously, poor Tut, the original Poor Little Rich Boy, trapped and ultimately killed by forces beyond his control, and poor Queen Ankhesenamun, his ill-starred wife. Still, the show was fascinating, and packed with recreations. I am a sucker for recreations. :)
After an hour of cooking soup and so on it was time for the Building of the Great Pyramid! Oh, I was in archaeological heaven. The people who did this special really did their homework; on first viewing the only flaw I saw was that the cast was cutely pudgy, because, well, modern people tend to be pudgier than the ancients. For an hour we saw sights no one has seen for 4600 years and more. Oh, it was such a nifty show. :)
Wolf and Tigerlily are so good and generous to me. :) And now, with my head stuffed with Ancient Egypt, on to my workweek. p
