So, I'll try to be briefer on these, but here are 20 fics of mine I think are especially good.

  • A Likely Lad (LOTR) I wrote a lot about the Fab Four hobbits, but I fell in love with the Shire, and following [livejournal.com profile] strangerian and in company with [livejournal.com profile] danae_b, I filled in the blanks to create a Shire of my own and to expand Pervinca Took into a female version of her brother and then a character in her own right. I loved writing the gentlehobbit - workinghobbit dynamic, and here it is with the added complications of being female.
  • Three Turnings of the Year (LOTR) More Pervinca, with three evocations of the Shire I dreamt of. I was fascinated by the effect of the Year of Troubles on the hobbits, and who better to examine them than my Pervinca?
  • The Sick Note (LOTR) I have never written a character's voice better than I did here.
  • On The Road Home (LOTR) This is probably my very best LOTR fic, and I love what I did with it, from the imagery of the woods to the hobbit philosophies I evoked. I seem to really like stories whose plot is "we just came out of a bad time but we're going to survive," and here's one such.
  • To Conciliate A Tiger (DC Comics) I continue to be amazed I wrote the dynamic here, with all its twistinesses. Every story I've written since where someone's sexually involved with someone they have mixed feelings about, including my current series about Captain Jim Kirk and Dr. Leah McCoy, owes something to this tale.
  • Rooftop World (DC Comics) If I could have any story of mine made into a comic it would be this, my love letter to Stephanie Brown and all she inspired.
  • Wonders to Perform (DC Comics) I wrote this for a challenge that asked me to abandon shame, and I still love it. It's Mary Sueishly over the top for my nameless heroine to meet all four Robins, but it also was a beautiful thematic progression as she grew from girl to woman on the grimy streets of Gotham.
  • Member of the Wedding (DC Comics) In which Dick breaks Tim's heart. I've never written "love hurts" more poignantly than this.
  • The Five Het Stories About The Robins: The Very Tint of Inexperience, Till It Bleeds Daylight, Play The Thought, As If In Jubliation, and By Their Own Beauties (DC Comics). I always bristle when I see people put down het as necessarily formulaic and inequal, so these stories were, among other things, a concerted attempt to write het about an assortment of different pairings and differently functional relationships where everyone was a person with agency and the women were not subordinate to the men. I think I hit the mark I set for myself.
  • Bulls and Birds (DC Comics) Robins in Minoan Crete, flying by leaping over bulls! As soon as I had the idea I knew I could not at all resist.
  • Play For Mortal Stakes (DC Comics) This is "Rooftop World" all grown up, and I love all three of them and their sexy Robinous dynamic here.
  • A Certain Star (DC Comics) A biography of one of my favorite characters, in six threesomes. I just love this story, full stop.
  • What He Would Not (NUMB3RS) When I finally fell to the dirty wrong deliciousness of writing an incest pairing (thanks, [livejournal.com profile] dsudis!) I decided to do my utmost; if I'm going to Hell, it should be for something good. I like what I did here.
  • A Woman Named Infinity (NUMB3RS) This is the shortest of my favorites, but it's just... such a beautiful little gem of a fic.
  • All Love's Lemmas Prove (NUMB3RS) This is definetely a sequel to 'What He Would Not', the same dynamic a dozen years on. I described a moment in palpable quivering detail, even as I laid out all the reasons the moment can't last.
  • Another Planet's Sky (NUMB3RS) This is perhaps my truest threesome, full of negotiation and discussion and beauty and caring and imperfection and wit and all manner of goodness. I'm still proud of it. (Also, I appear to be a Charlie/David fandom of one, but I'll just go ahead and wave that flag all by myself.)

Honorable mentions to "Singing Home" (LOTR), where I wrote a successful songfic (no, really!) and to "Calculations" (NUMB3RS/Torchwood crossover) because I really love the way I wrote Charlie's thought processes there.

Just read Rooftop World (maybe again, I'm not sure; loved it either way), and this isn't a fic of mine I'm reccing, but it was written for me, so I think it counts.

Thought you might like it since it has Alton Brown and little Stephanie Brown. (http://community.livejournal.com/comment_fic/85878.html?thread=19591798#t19591798) XD

<3 I'm glad! I'm thinking of writing more to the 'verse, since I already have so much head canon for it. (Like Alton never visiting his brother in Gotham before because he's scared of clowns, and well, Joker. XD)

I thought this might interest you too. (http://pervyficgirl.livejournal.com/249993.html#cutid2) Pervy wrote it for me, and it's Barry/Hal with Alton. XD

*would have replied faster but APPARENTLY THE UNDER THE RED HOOD MOVIE IS ON TORRENT! fangirling*

*beam* Thank you.

I'm a little sorry I didn't get any David/Colby on there -- I owed them a better story than I ever managed to give them.

You had loads of great hobbit stories! "Cakes and Apples" is always near the top of my list of your stories I like.

Can't think, off the top of my head, of one of mine you'd like.

*blushes* Thank you. And I bet you'd be surprised! You had some lovely explorations of the Shire, IIRC....
