Title: Sometime After Midnight
Fandom: Torchwood
Rating: As it is: PG. As it would have been: undecided
Pairing: Jack/Martha/Tosh
Notes: For
sophinisba from this and
drabble_a_trois's Challenge #8: Home
Jack/Martha/Tosh, holiday (should be cheerful, taking place before the end of Torchwood season two or ignoring it)
Ianto looked very pretty, laid out asleep on the opposite couch, head tipped back, loosened tie looped around his throat. Tosh felt lovely, warm and soft, curled into Martha's side, arm slung across her waist. Martha yawned, ready to doze off again, when some cool tingle made her glance up.
Jack stood watching them, with a gentle smile and ancient eyes; he nodded to Martha as he walked down to lean over Ianto, kissing him softly and tugging the tie loose. Ianto shifted and settled, and Martha watched Jack pace over to her and Tosh, leaning in close and warm to kiss Tosh's forehead.
Martha thought for a moment, then tilted her chin up, and Jack flashed his quintessential grin and kissed her, tasting like comfort and smelling delicious. When her head began to swim she pushed at his shoulder with her free hand, and he chuckled softly into her mouth and backed off, but only far enough to slide in behind her, pulling her and Tosh against his chest.
[describe leaning back against Jack] Tosh nestled in in her sleep [as if at home with the feel of Jack], and Martha sighed, stopped trying to be sensible, and closed her eyes.
[prev notes: and considers sleep, and feels Jack watching them all, perched on the arm of the couch, and smiles up at him. He says he hasn't any mistletoe, she says he doesn't need it and he bends to kiss her and then she goes to sleep.]
