An Announcement and a Meme

I really hope to post a few other things than memes here soon, such as actual stories. But be that as it may.
The 18th Carnival of Feminist Science Fiction and Fantasy Fans is looking for submissions. I don't think I'll be able to do this right now, so I thought I'd at least encourage people to check it out.
So, some time ago,
danachan asked me about these seven icons:

"All for one". Kindly screencapped by my roommate. It's my Doctor Who icon; it also represents fandom diversity, and also makes me think "yay Martha!" whenever I look at it

"Airborne". Peter Petrelli flying, emo hair flapping (I love emo hair; thank you, Dick Grayson!), lovely comics art (thank you, Tim Sale!), and the (increasingly unrealized, unfortunately) promise of Heroes.

"Saint Lucy's Day". Winter/Year End Holidays, darkness and light, contemplation. It's a very... quiet, solemn image, it feels peaceful.

"Don't Come Cheap"; several people made icons of this panel, this particular one is by
doubleedgedtruth, and I liked its proportions best. Dick/Slade, Good guy/bad guy, size difference, moral greys in comics brightness. I seem to be doing this meme as a list of keywords. *laugh at myself*

"Leaf on the Wind"! Made by
monkeycrackmary Spunky beloved blonds who DIED. Tears to the eyes.

"Liberty/Justice". Made by
clauclauclaudia. Femslash, justice, social progressivism.

"I will not". My NUMB3RS icon. Charlie facepalms very cutely, but what really made me want this is how it references several pairings for him. One of my favorite aspects of that fandom is its relative lack of shipwars.
