My Universal AU

browngirlSo, in every fandom I join, it seems, I at least have thoughts of a Minoan AU. I was discussing NUMB3RS and Minoans with my roommate, and she wrote down the results and forced, I say, forced me to post them: :
RubyNye: So I really want to write a Numb3rs Minoan AU.
Tigerbright: That would be awesome! Where would the pale northern boy be from?
RubyNye: Oh, there's always trade.
Tigerbright: Well, I figured that's where David would have come from.
RubyNye: I figure he's a Nubian mercenary working in the palace guard.
Tigerbright: And Colby could be his slave! And turn out to be a spy!
RubyNye: A Hyperborean spy! That's perfect!
Tigerbright: And the others? Don's a bull leaper, Charlie's a scientist?
RubyNye: Don's a former bull leaper who's now the head of the palace guard.
Charlie's the queen's architect. Megan is the queen, and Larry is her consort
and court astronomer. The rest of the team is part of the palace guard.
Tigerbright: Even Liz?
RubyNye: Liz is a current bull leaper.
Tigerbright: Trained by Don!
RubyNye: or maybe a former bull leaper trained by Don, now part of the palace
guard.
Tigerbright: You could write a first time story for them, about Liz retiring
from bull leaping and going "Yay, I don't have to be a virgin any more!"
RubyNye: *laugh*
Tigerbright: And she could make Don horny by telling him about all the girls
she slept with.
RubyNye: *facepalm*
After that, I covered my head with my arms, and she laughed triumphantly and stole my computer to write the conversation down.
Now, the only thing really standing between me and this pile of olive-oil-drizzled crack is (besides time) lack of a plot. In both "The Goddess-Kissed" and "Bulls and Birds" I found a plot that fit both the original fandom and the Minoan setting; so, for NUMB3RS, I'd need the Minoan equivalent of an FBI case, one that needs geometry (the cutting-edge mathematics of the time) for its resolution. Hrmn.
