2004 Fic Meme

All of these have multiple answers. I'm tempted to be self-indulgent and write one slash and one gen/het. No, I have too much slash to do so.
My favorite story this year (of my own): Just the one? Gosh. Every one mentioned in this meme is one I especially love. So are A Lesson, Last Look, and In The Sun.
My best story this year: On the Road Home may be the single story where what's on the screen came closest to what I envisioned in my head. The Sick Note is perhaps my best work at capturing a character's voice. And I like the way I constructed First and Last. None of these make me wince upon rereading them.
Story most tragically under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Two candidates for this are Fitted to Love which has some of my most personally satisfying writing concerning the Ring (and scale issues), and Namesake, where I had Faramir and Faramir meet! I mean, more of us must have wondered about their interactions, right? Not to mention Dream Blossoms, where I wrote Girl Frodo, darnit!
Most fun story: Some really fun stories to write include Estella's Opinion (depicting the Shire thus and all) and Of Brothers and Cousins (the facial! *snickers*) Also, anything in the Crackfic section, which I wrote by definition because they were too fun to pass up, despite their bizarreness.
Most sexy story: Here's my Porn Section These would be the tales I wrote specifically to be SEXY above all else. The Untitled Party Vignettes in there do make me particularly happy; I need to write more of them.
Story with single sexiest moment: The kisses in A Night With the Lads never fail to make me happy. I also like, in A Bed of Light, the bit where Merry and Pippin are nibbling on Sam and Frodo is watching him.
Most unintentionally telling story: Beauty Mark, in its way. I am neither beautiful, fierce, nor possessed of 12 siblings, but there's more of me in my Elanor than I realized till I reread the story.
"Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story: I have, I must admit, quite a kink for The Wrong (cf Warmth and A Wizard's Pupil, if you dare) but Pocket Money (and Part Two) *scared* me. I'm still figuring out how to undo the damage I've let be done.
Story that shifted my own perception of the characters: The Marble of Minas Tirith. (and part 2) I hadn't really realized how I'd concieved of Merry till I read that after writing it.
Hardest story to write: The Rose and The Book, with Little Knight a close second.
Worst story: I'm not answering this, I'll depress myself.
Easiest story to write: Festival Dancing ( Part Two, and Part Three) It just flowed off my fingers.
Story I didn't write but will at some point, I swear: A story I owe
rabidsamfan, where I will break up Frodo and Sam *wink* and the sequel to "Pocket Money", where I'll get them together.
And I didn't even mention any drabbles! Maybe I'll do this over for drabbles. Maybe that would be incredibly self-indulgent. Ah, what the heck, I think I will.
