Too tired for the fire

Some topics I should write angry journal entries about, in no particular order:
1) " “We’re going to watch Pennsylvania. Go down to certain areas and watch and study and make sure other people don’t come in and vote five times.” -- Donald Trump, calling for voter intimidation whilst saying Secretary Clinton can only win by cheating.
(I used to have a friend who claimed that the Black Panthers stood outside polls and intimidated [presumably White] voters. I wonder what she'd think of this? Am not going to go ask.)
2) the Twitterstorm of hatred against the accomplished, poised, and non-coincidentally Black Gabby Douglas of the US Women's Gymnastics team.
3&4) People often think that anything religious (or at least their particular religion) is safe for children. People, often the same people, also think that anything LGBTQ is not safe for children. This essay [would be] brought to you by two items in particular: my desire to find and re-argue with everyone who used to argue with me that slash inherently deserved a higher and/or "explicit" rating than het of equivalent detail level did, and that a story with a prince kissing his [male] knight goodbye before the knight goes to kill a dragon would be Totally Inappropriate for kids whereas a story with a princess kissing her [male] knight goodbye would be a-ok (no word on female knights); and how a movie titled Patmos royally fucked up and traumatized single-digit me (it's about St. John's exile/imprisonment on that island while he wrote The Book of Revelations. It was so graphic and terrifying I can still recall it.)
5) Hidden Figures:The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race (2016) soon to be a major motion picture, whose trailer made me cry in delight and anger.
I kind of wish I could gather a group of people from Elbows, or the Nose, or my high school, or various other places I've hung out where a majority of the members would never have believed this could be possible, and show them this. Another attendee should be former Harvard president Lawrence Summers, who said women aren't as good at math as men, while we're at it.
6) Last but not least: THIS IS NOT JAMAICAN JERK SEASONING and I feel like I'm dishonouring my grandmothers to not go tell this lady as much. And since you read this far, here's a proper recipe for jerk seasoning:
Jerk paste, approx 1 cup:
6 tbsp whole Jamaican Allspice, crushed
1 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
1 tsp ground cinnamon
12 scallions, cleaned and chopped
2-3 Scotch Bonnet (Habenero) peppers without the seeds (or with if you like it REALLY hot)
2 tbsp fresh thyme or 1 tbsp dried
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp salt (I usually only use about a teaspoon)
1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
2 tbsp soy sauce
Instructions from the person I took this from and edited it:
Crush the allspice in a mortar and pestle or a coffee grinder or pepper grinder. Leave it fairly coarse in good sized chunks. Combine all the ingredients in a blender or food processor. Process until liquified and well blended. Pour it in a jar (glass only--it eats plastic) and refrigerate until you are ready to use it.
Which reminds me... instead of ranting online I should go eat something.

(General) Life sure does suck, and it's humans' fault, and quite unnecessary, in my view.

Dude, I have made jerk seasoning all of three times, and even I know, that's not jerk seasoning.
