Politics keeps finding me.
Tonight as my cabbie (one of the ones I'm friendly with) drove me home he asked who I will be voting for. He's Middle Eastern, so I figured I wouldn't start a fight if I told him the truth, and I was right. We agreed about Secretary CLinton for a bit, and then he sadly told me about how most of his clients are elderly and White and voting for Trump.
He sounded so sad, and I'm so angry on his behalf. It amazes me how people can say to someone's face, "I'm voting for the guy who's promised to get rid of you."
So we commiserated about how racist this country is, and I gave him a big tip and a shoulder pat. I may be a freckle amongst his usual clientele, but I'm here and I don't want to vote him out of this country.
