It makes me so, so mad that that pizza shop was given 850K for their public bigotry, in the names of religious freedom and Jesus Christ. I am but an apostate, like Demas too in love with this present world, but I don't remember Jesus asking about anyone's sexual orientation before feeding them from the loaves and fishes, and I do remember his oft-repeated concern for the poor and destitute.

The sad truth is that for all the advances our society has made over the course of my adult life, it's still not uncommon for young people who come out to their parents to be disowned and thrown out of the house, or to be subjected to abuse by their parents and/or siblings that's so bad that running away looks like, or is, the better option. :-(
