songquake, thank you for giving me the wise advice I needed to stop dithering and call the doctor. WD, thank you for coming and sitting with me. Everyone who replied to my posts about the hospitalization, thank you for all your love. *beams*
If we generally treat patients the way I was treated (and aside of the private room I see no reason to assume otherwise) I'm pretty proud of the hospital where I work, and also was hospitalized. Evryone was excellent to me. Sometimes swift paced (look! A cloud of doctors just blew past!) but excellent.
So that's what strep throat feels like. $$@#%@#^$%##^#$@ that was unpleasant. I will not fail to take my antibiotics.
The attending thinks I should be checked out for sleep apnea. *makes note*
I met Nurse S's fiancee Nurse G, who took care of me this morning, and really liked her. She told me he likes macadamia nut cookies, and she likes blueberries. *makes note*
Now to try to catch up.

Date: 2015-04-22 08:04 pm (UTC)I have sleep apnea, and getting treatment for it made a huge difference in my life! Some people complain about the machine that's used for treatment, but I wouldn't live without mine. If you do get diagnosed with it, I have some advice for acclimating to the machine; make sure you talk to me.

Date: 2015-04-23 01:38 am (UTC)PS - I was diagnosed with sleep apnea last summer. A mild case, so no CPAP machine. Lois had it too, a good deal worse than I, but she took to her CPAP like the proverbial fish to water.
