Doctors Who Will Never Be

So the news is going around that Matt Smith is leaving Doctor Who at the end of the year>. I know not everyone has, but I've liked him, gangly and young with thousand-year-old eyes. For fun, though, I thought I'd put up a post asking for suggestions for the Twelfth Doctor, with a twist -- for the purposes of this discussion please don't suggest any White male actors.

A suggestion from me: Chiwetel Ejiofor. His gravity and innate sweetness impressed me even in a very non-sweet role.

A suggestion from Tigerlily: Wendy Padbury, who played the Second Doctor's Companion, astrophysicist Zoe Heriot. While watching a special on the Second Doctor, Tigerlily and I were impressed by her personality shining out of her face, and on looking her up I found she discovered Matt Smith.
