liviapenn notes how in one's choices it's good to provide a 'gimme' fandom, one where the canon can be absorbed relatively quickly, and it strikes me that the song fandoms ("Take on Me", "Beer For My Horses", "A Certain Slant of Light" and "Goodbye Earl" among others) would be perfect such fandoms; watch the video, read the song lyrics, and one would be all set!

*runs off to contemplate what fandoms I want, and then to sign up!*

As I said to redaxe, I had hoped that I'd only heard about Proposition 8 in California because there weren't any other defending-marriage-by-taking-it-away-from-people measures on the ballots for this election. Alas, I was wrong. ( Read more... )
