Two Essays

1. This one is for those who said that the reason that none of the female characters in Sin City had any agency was because that's how the noir genre works: 'Frank Miller doesn't write about heroes.'

And, because my friends are a contrary bunch, I know that linking to this essay about why it's a bad thing that the Gor novels are being republished is just going to result in the sale of five or ten more copies of those pernicious novels. But I agreed with 95% of the essay, so I'm linking it here anyway.
