It took me awhile to forgive Walt Whitman for "When I Heard The Learn'd Astronomer" (hell, I may not have completely done so) but this is from the introduction to Poetry Of Our Times as a forerunner of the poetry Ms. Brown was discussing, and it's *lovely*.
