I have discharged my civic duty!

Jury duty consisted of watching a hilariously cheesy instructional video (I took a page of notes which boil down to LOLOLOLOL) and three hours of cooling my heels and chatting the ear off of the fascinating young man I sat beside. He has the same first name and general aesthetic as lyonesse's Elf (long red hair, clear water-colored eyes, sharp cheekbones and very thin and elfin overall), he teaches music and performs, he's a cantorial soloist, and he studied LAtin in high school too. I rather bent his ear, I fear, but he was actually interesting. I wish I could have introduced him to Tigerlily, so they could have talked jazz and sunscreen, and I actually did tell him to look L up on the subject of mushroom hunting.

I'm writing this 11 hours after I got home because after lunch I took a nap that lasted until nearly sunset, and then I spent some time cooking and choredoing and a wee bit of child wrangling and so on. I missed Wolf's mom's visit, which is a pity, but she left me three etrogim, which is extremely exciting!

Now, onwards. Tomorrow I have cooking and jobhunting. *rolls up sleeves*
