Interesting -- so how did classes and stuff work? Were the kids into it?

Those of us who had to talk for our jobs wore ribbons and tried not to talk unless it was for work, and the kids participating had dispensation to not talk or to hold up notes or whatever. It did perceptibly lower the ambient noise level in a slightly creepy and very poignant way.
