I have been having a stressful few weeks (for me -- I know people who'd find my last few weeks a vacation from theirs. But small as my problems are, they've daunted me). I may not be done with my sturm und drang yet, or be very present here for awhile, but in general my life is pretty awesome, and all of you my friends are a major part of that. I wanted to leave this piece of cheer here (and put a comparable one in my other journal, if I can) and to thank you.

A wise person once told me that life is life-sized. Everyone has problems and judging ourselves by how someone else deals with a different set of problems isn't really helpful to anyone, if only because there are generally many more factors at play than we tend to notice or account for in our comparisons.

That said. I love the song. (Though now I've ended up with 'What Do the Simple Folk Do?' stuck in my head because sometimes my brain functions that way.)
