When I go home I'm going to read any responses to this on my laptop, which WD bought for me. I have never met anyone who gives better presents than WD; he pays attention to who his recipient is. (I'm not just saying that because a laptop is a big ticket item; he's given me smaller presents that were just as awesome, because they were exactly what I wanted and meeded.)

Date: 2009-09-21 07:55 pm (UTC)I was unemployed, getting divorced and in search of a flat. Together with the big one that was enough to depress me. I wanted only to go to bed early.
My then girlfriend insisted I keep the promise of going shopping with her and going out for dinner - and then claimed she had forgotten something at home making it necessary to go back before dinner.
And she had sneaked a look at my address-book the week before and arranged a surprise party.
