(Try #2; my computer crashed on #1)
I don't have a proper post in my head, not even one of several topics. I guess it's because I keep looking at these topics and trying to figure out how to write neither too much in some cases nor too little in others. And some would be better drawn or sung, or maybe as an interpretive dance.
(No, not really on that last.)
But anyway.

- How right it feels to sit with Eva sitting on my knee, my hand around her soft tummy. Until she starts to flail about, of course.
- My favorite aspect of the Olympics coverage I've watched: the stories about the athletes who are mothers (or in one notable case, a father) and the encouraging tone with which they were presented. Usually, I hate the human interest stories, go figure.
- The politics of the Olympics, and wouldn't that be a long, long post.
- A bunch of sociopolitical stuff in general, including a conversation I should get back to but haven't girded my loins enough for as yet.
- The fireworks displays that appear from the parking lot next door. Pretty, but perhaps dangerous.
- Writing, reading, and balance.
- This hellacious cold, ENT infections, and balance (of another sort).
- The visit of Tigerlily's parents and her pert and bright-eyed niece.
- School starts in a week! Meepleepleeep!
- [THIS SPACE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK]
