1) Uhura deserves a ficathon, I think. So too think the maintainers of

where_no_woman. They are currently collecting prompts for the Uhura Is Awesome Fic Fest through next Wednesday (and I need to get a move on with submitting some myself...) and will then open prompts up to claiming.

2) So I have semi-unexpectedly ended up writing an ongoing series about Leah McCoy, M.D., CMO of the ISS Enterprise and Captain's Woman to one James Tiberius Kirk of the Terran Empire. I have a pretty clear image of her, but lack the artistic skill to convey it.
