Oh, Ny. I've been saving this up for myself and I knew it wouldn't disappoint but I didn't expect this. I didn't know I wanted Kirk's point of view on this 'verse and it's even more frightening and fascinating that I could have expected. It's...okay, you're making me think thoughts about eros and agape and how Jim's apparently genuine, psychotically self-centred, affection and desire for Bones makes the relationship so much worse rather than better. That rape scene, my God; the moment where he thinks usually he's more unselfish than this. This is beautifully written, cruel and clear-sighted, perfect - I won't be able to stop thinking about it for a long time.
