A Few Assorted Things

Three fic recs:
I am a very fortunate fangirl with amazingly talented friends and an excess of fic to read (and to catch up on) but I had to make note of these.

kayliemalinza wrote Kirk/Spock I absolutely adore with a perfect role for Uhura (which is... a content advisory, as is the title, though not what you might think). There's a macro, too but it's a spoiler so look at it second. Those of you who remember a particular LOTR K/S story singeaddams wrote one ("Flimflamdigeridoostupidshit!") will recognize the genre instantly, and laugh. Almost everyone else will laugh. and laugh .
"Signals That Sound In The Dark" bydsudis is a Vorkosiverse/Torchwood crossover (Aral Vorkosigan before Shards of Honor, scouting for the invasion of Komarr, meets Jack Harkness post-Children of Earth) and is just ... I have a thing for this plot, where two people have a one-time significant meeting, and I have never read it done more poignantly, more astonishingly, better. (And does this ever make me want to reread Barrayar, which is my first and still one of my favorite Bujold novels.)
"Fire, And Fire, Like Love In The Dark" bypossibly_thrice. Mirror!female!Kirk/Mirror!Pike/Mirror!Gaila. Hot like unto a stellar chromosphere and described so vividly you can taste it.
Last, a little head's up: next week I plan to post a bunch of WIP Amnesty files (mostly NUMBRS and a few scattered past fandoms), and then (hopefully) post fic (Star Trek Reboot, as ever) the week after.
