Dear DCU,

I know, I've been busy and neglectful. And I've been talking to my ex; we had a few things left to work out. And yes, I said hi to a couple of cuties; I've got eyes, I'm only human, and one of them attracts me because it looks a little bit like you in a young curly-haired sort of way.

But I love you, like I've loved no other fannish interest of mine, despite the crap you sometimes pull (I understand, you have some bad influences right now, and nobody's perfect). I love your witty, quirky mix of magic, SF, drama, humor, and just about everything possible, how you're both mythic and intensely personal. Every time someone says something nice about you it makes me smile. (Well, ok, not when they encourage your bad habits, which sometimes happens. But most of the time!)

I'm going to pay you some more attention as soon as I can, make you some nice things. I promise, I've got great plans in the works. So don't give up on me yet, ok?
