*smile* Thanks. Yeah, I was trying to be encouraging about it. Because.... frex, I *love* Firefly. And part of why I love it is the universe it's in, are the roles of Zoe and Book and Inara, and so on. But I can love it and still acknowledge its problems; if I wrote fic about it I might write a Han Chinese OC to explore the places of Asian people in that universe and why Mandarin is a common language. And when the next up and coming creators make their universes, my hope is that they'll build on the accomplishments of Firefly (and Babylon 5, with its spectacularly gorgeous universe, and Star Trek, with its wide popularity and honest daring, and...) to further the niftiness.
