One of my favorite features of the MCU fandom is that Steve Rogers is often written with variously liberal political beliefs. Because this idea is popular, it is sometimes challenged as being the product of shallow trend-following rather than actual consideration of who he would be. My post is about both the Watsonian and Doylist reasons why I write Steve as a liberal, some of my thoughts on both him and on my own politics as a US citizen.
