Here is a random delightful fact, told me by lyonesse.

In Quenya (the older Elven language in Tolkien's Middle-Earth) there are two sets of words for color. One is colors of light, because the first things with color that the first Elves saw were the stars.

I remembered that just now while getting dressed, and paused to put it here, because it makes me happy.
