When Arizona's anti-illegal-immigration law passed I thought two things: that other states would consider implementing such measures, and that their impact would fall disproportionately and thus unfairly on Hispanic Americans no matter how long they and their families have been in the US (including if the US came to them, as happened to many people during the process of annexations that stretched this country westwards).
