A Visit and a Vigil

In Boston, there will be a vigil for Dr. Tiller tonight, 6 PM, at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral, 138 Tremont St., across from the Park St. T stop. (With thanks to thespian for the news.) Anti-choice groups will be on hand to, ahem, provide "respectful resistance to Tiller being hailed as a hero," so this will likely be interesting, but for once I need to put my feet where my mouth is, so I'll be there.

(Beyond the political implications of his death... having read this remembrance at Daily Kos, well, it made me cry that a doctor like that, a man like that, is gone. And I'm trying not to be inflammatory in my anger, so that's all I'm going to say.)

joecoustic is in town, and it was wonderful to see her, vettecat and sdavido (and the cats!) yesterday, in my roommates' company, and then to unexpectedly and delightedly run into ladysprite as we left. Ordinarily, this post would be about that nifty visit. But today, at least right now, I'm a little blue.
