Like her, I don't have a favorite poem. I do have poems and poets I'm fond of, though, and this one... having gotten into the NUMB3RS fandom, I think I want to do something with this poem and Dr. Charlie Eppes sometime.

Poetry Meme

cereta posted a poetry meme: "When you see this, post your favorite poem." This isn't a favorite poem: what this is is a new poem by a favorite poet which I found while looking through her works for an answer for this meme, one I don't think I've read before. At best, I read it with such different eyes, such different experiences behind my eyes, that I'm so changed as to make the poem new to me.

Not least as a polyamorous person, I find this resonant, and sweetly melancholy.
