Stars and Zen

I really love the Astronomy Picture of the Day. I have it bookmarked at work, and every morning I glance at it when setting up for the day. It often teaches me something, and it gives me a moment of beauty, and reminds me that no matter how my life is going the whole wide universe is out there in its indifferent sublime splendor.

Besides....today's provides the charming mental image of "What if part of New York broke off and slammed into New Jersey?" Now I'm humming "Babylon is (thoroughly) Fallen" and smiling despite quite a bit of stuff.
