Dreams and Waking
Aug. 28th, 2003 08:42 amLast night I had an actually good dream. (Most of my dreams this week have been vivid and weird and/or disturbing.) I dreamt that I had a computer program that would show me any bit of the night sky in greater and greater detail, going into three-dimensions, and it had a VR component that would let me feel asteroids, nebulae, etc. It was lovely, but eventually the immensities of space made me feel lonely, so I went to find a friend to use it with, and that's when my alarm clock rang.
Meanwhile, in waking life, I just made a medium-large mistake that has doubtless greatly annoyed my boss (we have 2 sessions of a Technical Orientation this week, Mon-Tues and Thurs-Fri. Because of a conflict with another program we're having we changed the time of one from 9 AM to 11 AM. I thought we'd changed the time of the other as well, and told people accordingly. We hadn't. And my boss is the one teaching the session. So half the people are going to show up for 11 rather than 9; I found out my mistake when it was too late to do anything about it). Whee. (I *doubt* I'll get fired for this, but...*sigh*)
