This is Not a Request

I was going to write this as a self-referential, self-mocking fake request for halfbirthday gifts (today being my half birthday) but I'm not sure that my writing skills are up to it, and if I didn't pull it off I might piss off many people I like. So.

Instead, I will put that when my birthday *does* come around one could do worse than to buy me an XL T-shirt from these folks featuring this design or this one. Imagine me with bull-leapers across my chest!

(Or, just get one for yourself and enjoy the ancient art in a new format. I'm glad someone is making these.)

Quick update.

Last night Tigerlily and I went to meet friends to see T3: Rise of the Machines. First, though, we went to dinner, then walking, from work to the theater via the Fens (as Tigerlily said, "[you] did it in bits, but you did it"; any long walk is a triumph for me at the moment).

T3 was good. Nifty effects, fun destruction, a sleekly predatory villian, and an actual plot---whose ending I did *not* expect. It was nice to see Claire Danes again, too.

This morning, TL and I decided to take different routes to the B-line train, to see who got to work first---and met up on the same B-line train. *laugh* Later in the day, WD and I got in a nice rousing political debate. Whee. :)

I'd say more, but our friend J has come by the school to visit, so I should finish this and go hang out with her!
