Ah, my parents.

I called my mother last night, since the day before was her birthday. It was a nice phone call, don't get me wrong, but two things stick out from it in my memory:

1) whenever my parents implore me to be "selfish" they are asking me to do something *they* want me to do.

2) My mother obliquely warned me to be a better housekeeper or WD might leave me.

Heh.

Neither of my jobs is going well.

telynor's name is misspelled on the Arisia Pocket Program. A simple bloody American English name, that was spelled correctly in the last version I looked at. Someone shoot me.
