My holiday

browngirlIn brief. Internet is out at our house, so I'm stealing time at work (which assignment, incidentally, ends a week from today. I need to write more about that).

azephirin and I went to see and mock STID, but it wasn't playing due to technical difficulties, so we saw and mocked Man of Steel instead. To refrain from spoilers, all I will say is that the Christ symbolism was slathered on with a trowel, that the portrayal of Lois Lane was a delightfully believable reporter, and that Michael Shannon is becoming one of my favorite actors. And that most of the rest was incredibly ridiculous and confused bombasticism with profundity.
Then we dropped bythespian's, where I watched theloriest and A have a delightful conversation about tattoos, I met the redoutable author of Jar Jar Binks Must Die, and I had to micturate before a feline audience. Also, I got to introduce A to ron_newman, and she and Thespian's cat Small immediately fell for each other.
The evening was the traditional fusillade of amateur fireworks; when my small and large roommates came home from watching the professional fireworks, poor E complained of how much she hates the sound of fireworks and wished we could get our neighbors to stop.
Anyway. Today is another lovely sunny HOT day, and I have work to do. *runs off*
