A post about a post I'm not writing.
I feel as if I should write something in my journal about the MA senatorial election, being history happening and all, but I also don't want to let myself do one of my least favorite things from the 2008 election, the "omg my side lost so the Apocalypse is nigh" reaction. Yet I am pretty disappointed in what this means for MA and for the nation, and the foreshadowing that this is. I'm trying to restrain myself from statements such as "I can't believe we turned our backs on progress," because I probably won't think this way when I've calmed down. Probably.
The US history teacher just came to say hi to me, and he's grimly unsurprised. That kind of says it all, I think.
So.
