I once read this book that said Ideologies struggle to uphold their moral systems through a tactic in which a surface is made attractive to people of opposing views in order to better convey the ideology's view - like associating a vivacious tomboy with a maternal, cooking-and-having-kids kind of an idea of womanhood, or saying those Democrats are ungodly and un-American, if you want proof, just look at what vicious things they say about Republicans.
