Live Action Boom-de-ah-dah

browngirlSo, remember the Discovery Channel "The World is Just Awesome" ad I posted about a little while ago?
Here's a live action performance featuring Mike Rowe (who can sing), the crew from Dangerous Catch (who CAN'T), and some other Discovery Channel show hosts (Tigerlily: including Josh Bernstein!), as well as a horde of assorted children singing with adorable imprecision.
I've been listening to the song (I was very kindly sent a recording by a generous friend who may unmask if desired) every day this week, and recently I realized just how it and its accompanying videos make me feel, in its imperfect, unselfconscious, wholehearted glee: like filking does. The point isn't to be polished and perfect, but to be fully happy. So I think this is a good capper to the workweek.
