So, I was Wikisurfing again, and when I looked up Historical Fiction there I found some nifty resources:

http://www.historicalfiction.org/ , a sort of pan-fanclub for lovers of historical fiction
http://www.historicalnovelsociety.org/ whose publications I really want to subscribe to when I have a spade $50 (well, a spare $100, my next spare $50 should really go to charity)
http://www.histfiction.net/ Features an author database, forums, etc
http://sachem.suffolk.lib.ny.us/advisor/prehistory.htm is a list of assorted books, series, etc, with varying amounts of information.

It's hard to find historical fiction info; there don't seem to be specialized bookstores, and didn't seem to be clubs till I found the ones above. I'll have to delve into these. (And maybe one day see my name up there among the listings. Maybe.)
