It would be lovely if you could come hang out with us, but a day's a bit short for that.
The "lie around enjoying having nothing to do" option would appeal to me right now, but... being in a place where that is appealing kind of doesn't go with it being likely to happen. *sigh*
Well, okay, hanging out probably isn't in the cards. But you forgot the option I would have voted for: Conquer Mesopotamia and restore the Fertile Crescent to its ancient glory :-)
Hanging out would be fun, but for the distance problem.
Which of these would bring you the most joy? You should do that. From the way you phrased things (including using the word "work" in the first two items), I'm guessing that's either catching up on reading, seeing movies, or hanging around somewhere doing (or not doing) whatever strikes your fancy.
I vote for "go see three movies in a row" which used to be one of my favorite things to do when there were good movies to see. These days I can't sit that long, so I rent movies and watch them at home all day long, with stretch breaks at regular intervals. Pause buttons are a good thing. And lots of popcorn, which I am terrible at making - I always burn it. Bought David a hot-air popcorn popper for Hanukkah, but don't tell him. Or, maybe to be more truthful - bought David a hot-air popcorn popper so he can make popcorn for me!

Since hanging out with me really isn't a realistic option, my second choice would have been catching up on your reading.
*hugs*

And maybe someday, R and I will finally make it up to the Boston area. But not for the foreseeable future.
