No, unfortunately, and that's the only thing making me hesitate. I understand their reasoning for charging (they're trying to avoid spambots joining and causing trouble) but, yeah.

There's a lot of people gifting accounts here (http://pinboard.livejournal.com/518.html)! I kind of understand why he'd want to charge though. I think the whole operation is run by one guy and it's his full time job--he's gotta pay his rent (and for server space) somehow!

Maciej is soo delightful. I really like that he's welcomed us while also remaining true to his original userbase. I bought an account, and I never even use delicious! I just wanted to support him.
