When Fandoms Collide

magickalmolly mentioned in her journal a fan report from the recent London ComicCon wherein it is mentioned that Billy Boyd spoke about himself and Dom Monaghan having attended a party dressed as Batman and Robin.

I'm alternating between trying to decide who dressed up as who and simply hyperventilating with joy.

(Who do you think dressed up as who?)

It's things like this that just make me love them more than normal, you know? And I'd say Billy dressed as Batman, and Dom as Robin. Of course. (I have no idea why that warrants an "of course".)

I think the cutest part about all of this is the simple fact that Dom talked Billy into it. What I wouldn't give to have heard that conversation.

And Billy was totally Batman. I can't imagine he would have agreed to it and then let himself be dressed as Robin.

My friend and I were in a huge toy store in Hollywood (we were there for the TORn party last year) and the manager saw us looking at the LOTR toys. He came over and told us that the "two comedian hobbits" had been in and gotten their Halloween costumes there -- they were Batman and Robin." So I can tell you where they got their outfits!
